1 Day Rainbow Mountain Small Group Tour
Our tour begins early in the morning with hotel pickup between 4:00 and 4:30 am. We will travel by car for approximately 2 hours south to the Cusipata-Paucarpata district (3310m.a.s.l.), where we will enjoy a buffet breakfast. From there, we will drive for another hour to reach the trek’s starting point at the Llaqto control point. The trek itself will take around 1 hour and 20 minutes, during which we will witness the breathtaking Andean landscape, including its unique flora and fauna, such as Llamas and Alpacas. Once we reach the Vinicunca viewpoint or the Rainbow Mountain (5080 masl.), our guide will provide information about the mountain’s orography, ecosystem, and color, and we’ll have the opportunity to capture stunning photos. We’ll then return to the starting point, where our transport will be waiting to take us back to Cusipata for a buffet lunch. The return trip to Cusco city will begin after lunch, with an estimated arrival time between 4 and 5 pm. The last stop will be near the Plaza de Armas of Cusco.
